This is an invitation to apply for the 4th Early Career Researchers (ECR) Transport Forum happening in Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta City, Indonesia, from 30 – 31 August 2025, before the biennial Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS) Conference from 1 – 4 September 2025. This two-day forum offers a platform for researchers and practitioners in their early years in the transport industry for capacity building, networking, and mentorship opportunities.
This year, the forum focus is on HEALing Communities — advancing urban mobility solutions that are: Healthier, Equitable, Accessible, and Liveable. HEALing Communities prioritize well-being, sustainability, and inclusivity in urban mobility. As cities navigate post-pandemic realities, there’s an urgent need to reduce car dependency, improve access to public transport, and promote active and micro-mobility solutions. By fostering inclusive and alternative mobility systems, HEALing Communities aim to enhance quality of life, ensure transport equity, and build safer, greener, and more accessible cities for all.
Join us to exchange ideas, build new connections, and contribute to shaping a healthier and more equitable transport future.
Students currently pursuing graduate studies (Master’s or PhD) or transport professionals within their first five years of working in the industry are eligible to apply. We would greatly appreciate your help in disseminating this opportunity to students or alumni who might be interested.
